Agnes Marie (Rocha) Barboza, age 91 of Somerset, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Barboza and the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Mae (Buckley) Rocha. Agnes was also predeceased by her 2 sisters Alice Bourgeois and Nancy Mendonca.

Agnes was very devoted to the church. She worked as the secretary and CCD Coordinator at St. John of God Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister, religious education teacher, and a member of the women's Guild. Most of all, Agnes loved to spend time with her family and friends, whether it be during a week night, weekend, or a holiday. She especially cherished the time she spent with her 10 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.

Agnes is survived by her children Linda Trudeau (husband David) of Swansea, Leo Paul Barboza (wife Susan) also of Swansea, Cathy Sousa (husband Alvaro) of Rehoboth, Steven Barboza (wife Deborah) of Somerset, Lori Ann Barboza also of Somerset, and Jonathan Barboza (wife Amanda) of Assonet; grandchildren Caitlin, Nate, Alexis, Paul, Steven, Jason, Jeff, Nicholas, Evan, & Dylan; great grandchildren Ryan, Chace, Charlotte, Carter, Garrett, Madison, & Austin; nieces & nephews.

Per the wishes of Agnes, her Private Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 with a Funeral Mass for Family & Friends to attend at St. John of God Church at 10:00 AM, please meet directly at the church. Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset. There are no visiting hours.
