SOMERSET – Agnes L. Correa, age 92, of Somerset, passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Agnes was the beloved wife of Benedict T. Correa for over 71 years. Born in Fall River, Agnes was the daughter of the late Manuel T. Mello and Agnes (Dias) Mello and sister to Mary E. (Mello) Stone.

Prior to retiring, Agnes was employed as a secretary for the former United Merchants for many years. She loved to read, travel – especially to Aruba and Florida, and babysit her grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her three children, David B. Correa (wife Cynthia) of Rehoboth, Christopher J. Correa (wife Wendy) of Somerset and Lisa F. Correa, also of Somerset; nine grandchildren Justin Correa (wife Ashley) Jayson Darrow (wife Joanie), Katie (Correa) Fenucci, Cassandra Correa, Travis Correa, Kevin Correa, Nickolas Steele, Kaitlyn Steele, Rhea Berade; four great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Agnes will be held on Monday, June 3rd from 8:30-10:30 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. A funeral mass will follow in St. Patrick's Church, Somerset at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset.
