Albert T. Marques, age 82 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Born in Agua Retorta, São Miguel, Açores, Albert was the beloved husband of Gloria (Silva) Marques for 63 years and the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Teixeira) Marques.

Albert immigrated from São Miguel at the age of 12 and attended Fall River public schools. He later worked at Plymouth Rubber Company and later attended New England Tech. He worked for the F.R. Police Department as an electrician and signal maintainer for 46 years, and was a US Army veteran and had also served in the Army National Guard for 12 years, having reached the rank of Staff Sergeant. For the past 7 years Albert volunteered at BMC Durfee High School, a job that he truly loved. He dedicated his life to helping others and did so selflessly.

In addition to his beloved wife Gloria, Albert was the proud father of his daughter Dr. Lisa Marques-Faria and husband Paul Faria. He also leaves a granddaughter Mykala Faria, the joy of his life; his siblings Liberto Marques and Isabel DeSousa; 15 godchildren; and many nieces & nephews. Albert was predeceased by his brother Antero Marques and sister Rita Rodriques.

Albert's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024 here at 9:00 a.m. St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment with Military Honors at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024 from 4-8 P.M.
