Alex J. Andrade, age 36 of Fall River and previously of Somerville, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 unexpectedly at home. Born in Malden, MA, Alex was the son of Henry and Aida (Figueiredo) Andrade, and the brother of Jason and Kelly Andrade.

Alex had worked as a sales associate at Mattress Firm for about some time. Alex was a practical joker, making anyone in his presence laugh. He would talk to anyone that would listen and give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He loved swimming, loved all children, was an avid Boston Celtics fan, and enjoyed a good hockey game on TV.

In addition to his parents and siblings, Alex is survived by his maternal grandmother Maria Sousa; aunts & uncles Tia Aida Rocha & Tio Manny, who was like a second mother to him & always would joke with him, Tia Alice & Tio Jose Moreira, Tia Maria & the late Tio Jose Andrade, Tio Joe Figueiredo & Tia Berta; godmother Maria Ines Andrade (husband Antonio); niece Savannha, who was the world to him and loved her like she was his own daughter, and niece Celine Andrade; nephew Logan Andrade; godson JJ Andrade; cousins and friends.

Alex was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Antonio & Maria Andrade, his maternal grandfather Jose Freitas Figueiredo, and his uncle Antonio Eduardo Andrade (late wife Beatriz).

Alex's visitation will take place on Friday, April 4th from 9-11 AM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. A funeral mass will follow at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd., Fall River at 12 Noon. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
