Alice S. Raposa, age 77 of Somerset, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2026 at Catholic Memorial Home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Ronald Raposa and the daughter of the late Joseph & Nellie (Ferrell) Medeiros.

Alice was a 1966 graduate of BMC Durfee High School, where she was chosen to be part of a program by Aetna to integrate mainframe computers into industrial manufacturing. She then was hired by Quaker manufacturing to operate their mainframe computers which controlled all of their textile plants.

After a long career with Quaker, Alice and her husband Ron traveled the country in their RV seeing many state parks, national parks, monuments, and all of the touristy things out there. She had a green thumb and loved caring for all of her gardens. Most of all, Alice loved spending time with her 2 granddaughters.

In addition to her husband Ron, Alice is survived by her son Michael D. Raposa, and her daughter Cynthia A. Raposa; granddaughters Emily and Evelyn; nieces & nephews. Alice was one of nine children.

Calling hours for Alice will be held on Wednesday, June 17th from 5-7 pm with a service at 6:45 pm. Cremation to follow. Arrangement are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N.
