Alice Silveira, age 87, of Fall River passed away on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023 at St. Anne's Hospital. Alice was the beloved wife of the late Alvaro Silveira and the daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Pasqual) De Estrela.

Prior to retiring, Alice worked as a cloth trimmer for Soloff & Sons Mfg. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and time with her church family at New Destiny of Seekonk, MA.

Alice is survived by her three children: Alice Couto (husband Luis) of Phoenix, AZ, Sandy Sowersby (husband Steven) of Somerset, MA, and Dennis Silveira (wife Lee) of Fall River; two sisters: Louisa DeAlmeida and Rosa Camara both of Fall River; six grandchildren: Valerie Ponte, Jennifer & Abigail Couto, Rachel & Eric Sowersby, Skylaa Silveira; two great grandchildren: Wrenley Pereira and Piper Sowersby; many nieces & nephews. Alice was the sister of the late Manuel Estrella, Liberia Souza, Lidia Torres, and Maria Fatima De Estrela.

Calling hours on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023 from 4-8 P.M. with a wake service at 7:30 P.M. Alice's funeral service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023 at 9:00 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Interment to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, F.R.
