SOMERSET – Alzira P. Sousa, age 57, born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, Alzira emigrated to Fall River on Christmas Eve of 1967, then becoming a resident of Somerset for many years. She was the beloved daughter of Maria Isabel (Pimental-Perreira) deSousa and the late Manuel deSousa.

Alzira was a Communicant of St. Michael's Church and loved to spend time with her family.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her two brothers: Luis P. Sousa and Gabriel P. Sousa both of Fall River; and several nieces & nephews. Alzira was sister of the late  Edward P. Sousa and Peter P. Sousa.

A visitation for Alzira will take place on Thursday, Feb. 3 ^rd from 8:30-9:30 A.M. in the  Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA with a funeral mass to follow in St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset.
