FALL RIVER – Amelio Duclos (Mel),  age 77 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023. Born in Fall River, Amelio was the beloved husband of the late Claudette (Dorais) Duclos and the son of the late Alfred Duclos Sr. and the late Mary (Oliveira) Duclos.

Prior to retiring, Amelio worked as a sorter for the US Postal Service. He was a US Navy veteran, having served during the time of the Vietnam War. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved his puzzle books and occasional scratch tickets. Amelio loved spending time with his family and was a kind soul who wouldn't hesitate to go above and beyond to help others.

Survivors include his 3 daughters: Joy Lynn Duclos, Tanya Jean Duclos, and Tammy Albanese; his sister: Lorraine Duclos; daughter in law: Lisa Borges Duclos; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces & nephews. Amelio was the father of the late Michael J. Duclos and the brother of the late Alfred Duclos Jr., Edmond Duclos, Henry Duclos, and Florence Montgomery.

Amelio's private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA.
