Ann M
Farias
May 31, 1948 — Mar 18, 2024
TIVERTON – Ann M. Farias, age 75, passed on March 18, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 45 years to Joseph Farias Jr., she was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Steve and Florence (Hamer) Homol. Ann dedicated over 38 years to her role as a nurse's aide, with the majority of her career spent at Kimwell Nursing Home. Her co-workers were like a second family to her, and reminiscing about those many years spent together brought her so much happiness! She lived a life defined by her unwavering kindness, compassion, and generosity. She touched the hearts of many through her selfless acts and genuine concern for others. She often worked two jobs tirelessly to be able to provide the very best life for her son. She enjoyed the many violin and choral concerts he performed in. Even after working single or double shifts, there were many early mornings, late nights and long hours spent on the road traveling for skating practices and national and world travels for his Roller Figure Skating.
Both before and after retirement, Ann worked with her sister Patricia at Morgado Monogramming in Swansea, MA. Her restless spirit of service continued post-retirement, working with her sister Christine at Tumbletime Laundromat in Fairhaven, MA.
Ann cherished moments with her family, including her beloved Granddogs, Macchiato and Noisette, who brought her great joy and comfort.
She was loved and cherished by many people, including her son Joseph Farias III of Tiverton, siblings Stanley Homol, Wayne Homol, Christine Gauthier, Patricia Thibeault, and the late Stephen Homol and Edward Homol, as well as many other family and friends who will greatly miss her.
Following cremation, visitation will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, on Thursday, March 28, from 4-7 P.M. with a service at 6:30 P.M.
The family requests you dress with color and come with a smile! Ann would have wanted a happy time!
The family would especially like to thank the nurses and staff at Southcoast VNA for helping make her more comfortable in her final days.
