Antone M.
(Tony) Ferreira
Dec 17, 1939 — Feb 26, 2026
Swansea
Antone M. (Tony) Ferreira, age 86, of Swansea, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Watkins) Ferreira with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Joseph & Guilhermina (Ponte) Ferreira. Tony was also predeceased by his sisters Dolores Costa (late husband James) and Eileen Garrant (late husband Richard).
Tony was a U.S. Army veteran, where he worked as an engineer. He later worked at Slater Paper Box and finished his working career at Duro Finishing.
He was an all-around "Mr. Fix It." In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, doing yard work, making home repairs, and working on lawn mowers.
Tony was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed cooking, watching boxing matches and hockey games, and doing word-search puzzles. He enjoyed all genres of music, poetry, and looked forward to a good cup of coffee. Tony had the gift of gab and could make friends anywhere he went. But most of all, Tony loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. We will always treasure his stories which were untouched by time.
Tony leaves a legacy of love. In addition to his wife Kathy, he is survived by his daughters Toni-Ann Parsons (partner Robert O'Melia) and Dawn Harding (partner Louis Dias). He is also survived by his siblings Dorothy Guay (late husband Henry), Joseph Ferreira (wife Lorraine), Kathleen Santos (late husband Francis), and Monica Joaquim (late husband Joseph); grandchildren David Parsons (wife Caroline), Meagan Lucidi (husband Andrew), Emily Harding (partner Shaun O'Hearn), and Matthew Harding (partner Paige Santos); great-grandson Wesley Lucidi, and great-granddaughter on the way, Baby Girl Parsons. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and his fur grand babies, Willow, Phoebe, and Zinho.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony's memory may be made to AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care-Fall River, 21 Father Devalles Blvd Suite 105105, Fall River, MA 02723.
