Antonio T. deSousa, age 96 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Monday, Dec. 25, 2023 at Catholic Memorial Home with his loving family by his side. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, Antonio was the beloved husband of the late Alexandrina da Conceiçao (Tavares) deSousa and the son of the late Jose Teixeira DeSousa and the late Helena Encarnaçao (Mota) deSousa.

Prior to retiring, Antonio worked for the Foxboro Company as a maintenance man. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church.

Antonio is survived by his children: Filomena Furtado (husband Jorge) of Somerset, Antonio Sousa (wife Ana) of Somerset, Eduardo Sousa (wife Maria) of Rehoboth, and Lurdes Paiva (husband Manny) of Fall River; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; nieces & nephews.

Antonio's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River on Tuesday, January 2nd here at 9 A.M. with a funeral mass at St. Michael's Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling Hours will be on Monday, January 1st from 5-7 P.M.
