FALL RIVER – Antonio J. Arruda, age 63, a longtime resident of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 in the comforts of his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores to Evelina (Borges) Arruda and the late Antonio Arruda. Antonio was also the beloved father of Christopher M. Arruda (wife Nancy) of Freetown and Amanda Arruda (companion Robert Medeiros) of Fall River; grandfather of Gracie & Cameron, whom he absolutely adored; and the longtime companion to Odilia Tavares. Antonio is also survived by his 3 brothers and nieces & nephews.

Antonio had worked as a machine operator in the local textile mills, loved to go fishing, gardening and working in his yard, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Calling hours for Antonio will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 5-7 P.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA.
