Antonio J. Velho, age 92, of Fall River, passed away on December 3, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Arruda) Velho. Born in Santo Antonio, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Jose Joaquim and Maria Indalina Velho. Antonio loved fishing, playing cards, planting his vegetables and tinkering with his tools. But most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was loved and cherished by many people including his children Mary Januario (husband John), Theresa Lopes, Antonio Velho (wife Carol), Natalie Amaral (husband George) and the most recently late Gilberto Velho, all of Fall River; siblings: Jose Velho, Theresa Carreiro, Olivia Velho and the late Manuel & Joao Velho, Adalina Raposa, Connie & Maria Velho; grandchildren: Kevin & Tanya Januario, Jeremy Lopes & Steven Pereira (companion Valerie Vayenf), Antonio Velho Jr. (wife Kelsey), Nathan & Corey Velho, Ashley & Adam Laflash, Felisha & Tyler Amaral (companion Taylor Seay); great grandchildren: Adam Peckham, Skyler Blaze, Haden Ray, Ella Pereira, Jesse Lopes, Dexon Velho & Tristen Laflash, & Presley Rae Amaral; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members who will sadly miss him.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday, Dec. 7th here at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael's Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours on Wednesday, Dec. 6th from 5-8 P.M.
