Obituary

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden unexpected loss of Arthur M. Victorino where he passed at his beloved home on January 18, 2025, at the young age of 80.

Born in Fall River he was the son of the late Mary and Arthur Victorino of Somerset, Massachusetts. He was the brother of the late Beverly A. Rego of Somerset and Nancy Victorino of Taunton, Massachusetts.

Arthur was a graduate of Somerset High School Class of 1960 and Bryant University. Arthur was a distinguished teacher at both Bryant University and Bristol Community College for several years. He was an honorable veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War era.

He was employed at Texas Instruments and then was an illustrious Sales Representative for Lorillard Tobacco Company for many years until his retirement.

He was an avid New England sports fan, a great historian and political enthusiast. He loved to read history books as well as books on politics. His book collection is a huge testament to his love of anything history. He was also an intricate antique collector pursued his entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating his own business "Vic's Five & Above Flea Market." Arthur saw value in many historically made items and collectibles. He loved Country music and a cold light beer with two ice cubes by a crackling firepit. He always looked forward to and encouraged holidays and get-togethers with family. He was a member of the Elks Club of Fall River and enjoyed visiting VFWs, American Legions and casinos, Bally's Tiverton being his favorite "lucky" spot. You could always find him at a Blackjack machine. His life plan was to one day reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. To know Arthur was to love him. His personality, quick wit, sarcasm and humor were enjoyed by so many people. He was always referred to as a "Class Act" gentleman. He always saw the good in people and was ready to lend a helping hand to any stranger he would encounter.

He is survived by a nephew, Alfred P. Rego, Jr., a true friend and college of many years, Lawrence Aguiar, AKA Lawrence of Arabia, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews.

May his beautiful soul rest in peace and continue to be a source of comfort and beautiful memories to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
