It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our treasured son, our angel, Axel Thomas Rodrigues.  Axel was born to his loving parents; Kurt I. Rodrigues and Taylor M. Montella on July 5, 2023.

Some people only dream of angels, but we held one in our arms.  Axel spent five perfect days with his family, knowing nothing but love, comfort and peace. He was able to touch so many lives with his soft brown hair, perfect button nose, big beautiful eyes and chubby cheeks. Each life comes into this world with a purpose. Sometimes the purpose is clear; sometimes it is vague and shrouded in misunderstandings. Was it to soften our hearts so that we may in turn comfort others or could it have been to bring families closer together? In time, we will see what Axel's mission was during his short time on earth, and what we know now, is that Axel is sleeping in heaven, playing with the angels and watching down on his family in the arms of our Lord.

Besides Axel's parents, others mourning his loss include; his grandparents; Delilah Floriano, Eric and Megan Rodrigues; Gerald and Rhonda Montella; great-grandparents; Firmo and Connie Floriano, Donna Vanasse; Luca and Sandra Lanellotti, and Geraldine Monella; great-great grand father Thomas Vanasse; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Axel was pre-deceased by his great grandfather Richard B. Rodrigues and great great grandmother Norma Vanasse.

A visitation for Axel will be held on Wednesday, July 19th, 3:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M with a service beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main Street, Fall River.  To offer the family words of comfort please visit www.rogersfuneral.com.
