FALL RIVER – Barbara A. Maynard, age 74, passed away on August 15, 2024 at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard T. Maynard Sr. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve (Freitas) Pacheco.

Barbara, who recently retired, dedicated over 45 years of her life as a bus driver for Citizens For Citizens. A true New England sports fan, who was also a fan of the Undertaker from WWE. Her hobbies included watching soap operas and Hallmark movies, dancing to country music, and embarking on road trips and camping adventures. Barbara especially cherished her visits to Disney, captivated by her love for Minnie and Mickey. Known for her outgoing nature, she was delighted in spending her spare time with family and friends at parties and events, even taking on the role of DJ. Barbara was celebrated for her selflessness, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Barbara will be remembered fondly by her children Richard Maynard Jr., Carol Bouchard and Cheryl Ebbesen, all of Fall River; 7 grandchildren Daniel, Jessica, Tasha & Jeremy Folger and Jessalyn, Jacob & Tyler Ebbesen; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Steven Pacheco, Caroline Herndon, Wayne Pacheco, Glenn Pacheco, Gary Pacheco, Susan Brousseau, Sandra Givens and Edward Pacheco Jr.; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Pacheco.

Her funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, August 23rd at 10 A.M. Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Calling hours on Thursday, August 22nd from 5-8 PM.
