SOMERSET – With deep sorrow, we share that Bertha C. Beliveau, at the age of 92, passed away on September 14, 2024.  Bertha passed just one week after her beloved husband of 63 years, Richard A. Beliveau, passed away on September 7, 2024.

It is a testament to the profound love and commitment they shared together.  Their spirits, full of warmth and care, will forever remain with us, cherished, and remembered.

Bertha was born in Fall River to her late parents, Frank and Margaret (Clark) Coffey. She shared a deep passion for sailing with her husband, Richard, and found joy tending to her gardens.

While primarily a devoted homemaker to her husband and two children, Bertha also dedicated 25 years to both working and volunteering at Blithewold Manor, Gardens & Arboretum in Bristol, RI.  Her enthusiasm for Blithewold enriched the lives of many through her selfless service and joy of sharing her gardening knowledge.

She was loved and cherished by her daughter Michele Beliveau of Cumberland, RI and son William "Clark" Beliveau of Fall River. She was predeceased by her son Richard Beliveau, Jr. and sisters Mary Barbara West and Margaret "Peggy" Connor. She is survived by close nieces, nephews and friends who always held a special place in her heart.

Arrangements were under the direction of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. A private burial will be held for both Richard and Bertha at a later date.

In addition, a dual celebration of life program for both Bertha and Richard will be held at a later date.  Please check back on our website periodically to see when services have been added.
