Brian Paul
Mello
May 8, 1980 — Dec 16, 2022
Fall River
Brian Paul Mello, age 42 who was born and raised in Fall River died unexpectedly on Friday, December 16, 2022. Brian was the proud father of Trevor Paul Thomas Mello, the beloved partner of Heidi Marie Gadbois and the son to Stella Maria Mello and Kevin Paul Mello.
In addition to his son, and his girlfriend, he also leaves behind his best friend and sister Tracy Mello, his nephew, Cody John Pereira his Goddaughter, Olivia Minville, his grandmother, Maria Moreira, and aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He has positively impacted the lives of everyone who has ever had the pleasure of knowing him.
Brian was a dedicated father, an amazing and loving son, and a very hard worker. He was a skilled carpenter for the past 25 years alongside his foreman, Bob Faulkner, as well as his cousin, José Fernando Cordeiro. For the last six years, he was a union carpenter for Gallagher construction in Dedham, Mass.
He loved riding his GSXR 1000 motorcycle with his LIL SIS his side kick. He also loved playing darts and has been playing for the past 20 years. Over the years he has played at straight shooters, Scotty's pub and most recently at the Liberal Club in Fall River. As competitive as he was, what made darts special to him was hanging out on Monday nights with the dart league. Brian also loved traveling to Melbourne, Florida to visit his son in college and loved vacationing at Days Cottages in Truro, Mass in the summer.
What made Brian Mello an overall amazing person was his deep-rooted urge to consume information. He would constantly listen to others, and what they had to say before ever pushing his own point across. Brian would take advantage of any opportunity where he might learn something new. He also was not afraid to admit he was wrong. Sometimes he would advocate being wrong in order for him to deepen his understanding of a specific subject.
He would support every person he met to better themselves in every aspect of life. Brian would push the best out of anybody by being himself in every situation. He was not afraid of being judged by others, and instead would create a type of aura that created a comforting environment for everyone. Brian will be missed dearly by so many, and he will live forever in our hearts and memories.
Brian's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers funeral home 1521 N. Main St., Fall River mass on Friday, December 30 at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall Rive. Calling hours are on Thursday, December 29 from 4 to 8 PM. In loving memory of Brian, we are going to plant memorial trees.
