Bruce E. Masterson, age 98 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 in the comforts of his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Bristow, OK, Bruce was the husband of Katherine (Viveiros) Masterson and the son of the late Louis & Virginia (Bruce) Masterson.

Bruce retired from the US Navy as a Master Chief, honorably serving his country for over 30 years. While serving during the Korean War era, Bruce worked as a Precision Instruments Machinist, and while having served during later period of the Vietnam War era, Bruce was a recruiter for the Navy Reserves. After retiring, Bruce earned his Bachelor's degree and then his Master's degree from UMass Dartmouth.

Bruce was very active in his retirement as an insurance agent, a substitute teacher at Somerset High School, and drove a school bus for the women's sports teams. He also sold securities, and loved babysitting for the family the most.

In addition to his wife Katherine, Bruce is survived by his son Bruce John Masterson and his wife Elizabeth of E. Providence; his sister Phoebe Blackwell of OK; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews. Bruce was the brother of the late Louis, Raymond, Roy, and Elzy Masterson.

Bruce's calling hours will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 26th from 5-7 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. His Memorial Service will follow on Thursday, Aug. 27th at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Inurnment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, County St. Somerset.
