Fall River - Carlos Mario Marcelino the smiling, loving, family historian, also known as Charlie age 72, passed away peacefully at St. Annes Hospital on August 28th. Born in Ponta Delgada, Azores, he was the son of the late Joao C. and Maria (Carreiro) Marcelino. He was the loving husband to his wife Ligia (Rodrigues) Marcelino.

Prior to his retirement, Carlos worked at Joan Fabrics for many years. Later in life, he went on to earn his GED and his Certified Nursing Assistant License. Carlos enjoyed drawing, dancing and watching his Red Sox. He was a true family man. He absolutely loved and adored his wife of 46 years, ensuring her every need was met and lovingly doted on. Carlos truly loved his family, and was happiest in their presence, during holidays and get-togethers. He was such an incredible son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.

Besides his wife Ligia, Carlos is survived by his children; Brian Marcelino and his wife Christine of Fall River; his siblings; Armand Marcelino and his wife Julia of Westport, John Marcelino and his wife Adriana of Fall River; his grandchildren; Brennen, Bradley, Kierra, Alanis, Amber and Leium; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joao and Maria Marcelino as well as his son Christopher Marcelino.

Carlos's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, September 1st at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial to follow at St. Patricks Cemetery in Fall River.
