SWANSEA – Catherine Quental, age 91, passed away on July 10, 2024 at home. Born in Somerset, she was the daughter of the late Carlos and Alexandrina (Goncalo) Quental.

Catherine spent many years working for Liberty Mutual Insurance before transitioning to a role as an executive secretary at Fall River Gas Company, where she remained until her retirement. An active member of St. John of God, she was deeply involved with the church, participating in the choir and serving as a Prayer Warrior. Catherine was known for her loving nature and maintained a close relationship with her family, especially with her nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of Cheryl Root of Riverside, David Quental of TX and the late Rita Quental, Connie Amaral, Roland Quental and Charles Quental. Along with Cheryl and David, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, July 17th  here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. John of God Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Somerset. Calling hours on Tuesday, July 16th from 5-7 P.M.
