Fall River – Claudette (Dorais) Duclos, age 75, passed away unexpectedly at Boston Medical Center, with her daughter by her side on April 17 ^th . Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Grace (Desmarais) Dorais.

Prior to her retirement, Claudette worked as a teacher and caregiver, with children ranging from infant to preschool age. She looked forward to the end of the day at work, because her husband, Amelio would be coming to pick her up, blaring his favorite Meatloaf or techno song, which always brought a smile to her face (as well as her co-workers). Claudette enjoyed to cook and playing words with friends, as well as her tv programs. She absolutely loved watching gameshows, such as Wheel of Fortune, reality court shows, especially Judge Judy and made it known that there is no talking allowed during the Bachelor, or there would be consequences. Claudette always had her home in order, she was a caring woman, who was intelligent, happy and made sure her family was taken care of. She loved her iced coffees and weather permitting, she would curl up with Buddy the dog, who she adored and enjoy a warm cup at home.

Besides Buddy, Claudette is survived by her husband of almost fifty years, Amelio Duclos; her daughter Joy Duclos; and her granddaughter; Chantal Duclos; as well as some friends she has met along the way. She was predeceased by her parents as well as her son, Michael Duclos.
