Fall River- Claudio M. Luis, age 67, passed away at Charlton Hospital on September 30th.  Born in Furnas, Saint Michael Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel Tomas Luis and Maria Jose (Marques) Luis. He was the beloved husband of Ana (Damaśo) Luis for 35 years.

Claudio worked as an assembler at Horner Mill Work for many years, he enjoyed fishing and loved animals.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, but his absolute favorite past time was spending time outside gardening.  Claudio was a genuine, hardworking, kind man, was everyone's favorite Uncle and will be so deeply missed.

Besides his wife, Claudio is survived by his siblings; Helena Castanha of Montreal, Luis Marques and his wife Liberia of Toronto, Fernanda Santos and her husband Manuel Antonio of Bristol R.I, Antonio Luis of Fall River, Ana Marques of Fall River and Rosa Carreiro and her husband Luis of Fall River; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was pre deceased by his sister, Berta Garcia.

Claudio's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, on Thursday, October 5th at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Santo Christo Parish at 10 A.M. Burial at St. Patricks Cemetery, Fall River.
