FALL RIVER – Cremilde (Sousa) Pacheco, age 83, a resident of Fall River since 1980, peacefully passed away on Monday, Sep. 23, 2024 at St. Anne's Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, Cremilde was the beloved wife of the late Manuel B. Pacheco and the daughter of the late Mariano Sousa & the late Antonia (Medeiros) Sousa.

Prior to retiring, Cremilde worked as a machine operator for Bristol Knitting Co. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church and also a member of their Holy Rosary Society. Most of all, Cremilde loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her six children: Carlos Pacheco (wife Berta) of Fall River, Cidalia Paiva (husband Thomas) of Swansea, Cremilde Raposo, Isabel Bento, Etelvina "Katrina" Oliveira (companion Tony DeMedeiros), and Rita Pacheco (husband Joe Pereira) all of Fall River; siblings: Otilia Revoredo of Fall River, the late Gabriel Sousa, and the late Mariano Sousa; 19 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

Cremilde's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Saturday, Sep. 28, 2024 here at 9:00 A.M. with a funeral mass to follow at St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours on Friday, Sep. 27, 2024 from 5-8 P.M.
