Daniel J. Camara, age 75, of Fall River, residing in Swansea, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital. Daniel was the son of the late Daniel Camara & the late Rose (Amorin) Camara. Daniel was the companion of Louise Dias and the former husband of Judith (Santore) Camara.

Prior to retiring, Daniel worked as a Firefighter for Fall River Fire Dept. He was a US Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War and volunteered at the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 207 of Westport and previously of Fall River. He was an avid card player and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Most of all, Daniel was all about his family and loved spending time with them, especially with his grandchildren.

In addition to his companion Louise and former wife Judith, Daniel is survived by his children: Lisa Camara (longtime companion Joseph Pignatelli) and Scott Camara (wife Yannick Camara); a sister: Nancy Correia; 3 grandchildren: Kyle Mercier, Calliope Camara, and Caiden Camara; a great grandson: Jason Mercier; 2 nieces: Lori & Rick Lepage, and Pamela & Ed Pacheco; 4 great nieces & nephews: Logan & Laney Lepage, Carson & Addison Pacheco. Daniel was also the beloved father of the late Jason Camara.

Calling hours for Daniel will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 from 4-8 P.M. with a service to be held at 7:00 P.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. A gathering will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 31st from 10-11 A.M. in the funeral home before a procession to MA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
