FALL RIVER - Surrounded by loved ones, Daniel Souza, age 93, peacefully passed away on July 19, 2025. He was the loving companion for 38 years to the late Olga Cordeiro and former husband of Muriel (Levesque) Rego. Born in Fall River and life long resident, he was the son of the late Manuel and Alexandrina (Couto Tavares) Souza.

Daniel was a man of many passions and quiet joys. He found peace and purpose in tending to his garden, where he proudly grew organic fruits and vegetables. A lifelong lover of music, he especially enjoyed Big Bands and jazz. In his younger years, he enjoyed Jitter Bug dancing and soccer. Daniel spent many years working as a skilled weaver before retiring. His warmth and gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children Daniel Souza Jr. (wife Sandra) of Fall River, Cynthia Turgeon (husband Robert) of Fall River and Kathleen Villella (husband Vincent) of Swansea; 8 grandchildren Stephanie Baker, Audrey Lopes, Amy Dean, Sarah Paiva, Megan Poulin, Ashley Reed, Katelyn McKeen and Angela Buono; as well as many great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by Sue Cordeiro, the daughter of his longtime companion.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a Catholic Mass at Espirito Santo Church at 11 A.M. on Friday, July 25th. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
