FALL RIVER – David M. Souza, age 91 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023 at Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Fall River, David was the beloved husband to Ruth (Manso) Souza and the son of the late Frank M. Souza and the late Margaret (Rego) Souza.

David was a US Army veteran, having served his country overseas during the Korean War. Prior to retiring, he worked as a fork lift operator for Corrugated Box Co. David spent most of his retirement with his wife living in sunny state of Florida.

In addition to his wife Ruth, David is survived by his four children: David B. Souza (wife Rhonda) of Somerset, Jeffrey M. Souza (wife Jane) of S. Carolina, Sharon M. Lewis (husband Ralph) of Somerset, and Robert A. Souza (wife Janet) of Fall River; six grandchildren: Amanda Rego, Ashli Carnicelli, Ralph Lewis, Jessica Lewis, Jaden Souza, and Jayde Cordeiro; several great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. David was predeceased by his siblings: Ronald, Gilbert, Raymond Souza, Mary Ferreira, Alice Korszeniowski, Nora Chartier, and Evelyn Raymondo.

David's cremation services are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA.
