David M. Rapoza Jr., age 83 of Fall River, passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. David was the husband of Linda (Costa) Rapoza and the son of the late David and Evelyn Rapoza. David was also predeceased by his step daughter Leslie Jane Medeiros, and his daughter Lori Rapoza.

Prior to retiring, David had worked as a driver for Viti Mercedes of Tiverton and previously he worked as a foreman at Swansea Concrete for many years. David was also a Licensed Real Estate Agent for 16 years. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, especially with his grandson Lucas John Medeiros.

David had a special talent for telling a great story. Many memories are recalled regularly because of his ability to turn every circumstance into a funny narrative. He had a unique way about him that was sure to put a smile on everybody's face. David's wife Linda affectionately remembers all of his funny stories. His love expressed through his humor will always remain in our hearts.

In addition to his wife Linda, David is survived by his two step sons Brian M. (Ann Marie) Medeiros of Fall River, and Darren M. (Sonia) Medeiros of Dartmouth; his two sons Michael Rapoza of Westport, and Jeffrey Rapoza of CT.

David's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026 at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Church, Hanover St., Fall River at 10:00 AM. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford.
