David Torres Jr., age 52 of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on October 1,2026 at St. Lukes’ Hospital as a result of a workplace accident. David was the beloved husband of Tara Silvia for 24 years, and the son of David and Stephanie O. (Lourenco) Torres.

In addition to his wife and parents, David is survived by his daughter Willow Torres of Fall River; his brother Timothy Torres of Fall River; his sister-in-law Rhonda Torres; nieces Cierra Torres, Skylar Sanders, Zoe Torres; a great nephew Milo Sanders; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Christopher Torres of Fall River.

David was a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. He was a dreamer with a passion for acting, having starred in the 2024 film Eephus which played at Cannes Film Festival and at theaters internationally, as well as many other films. He loved baseball, horror movies, any holiday with decorations, and he hated sour candy. He was proudest of his 11 years of sobriety and his role as a father. David was a caring, gentle man whose kindness will continue to radiate through all who knew him.

David’s funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main Street, Fall River on Saturday, Oct. 10th at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. at 10:00 AM. Please go directly to the church, arriving by 9:45 AM. Cremation to follow. Calling hours on Friday, Oct. 9th from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
