DANVERS – David Whitney Withington, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025 at Hunts Skilled Nursing and Rehab. He was the son of the late Whitney and Ruth (Roberts) Withington. David was a highly intelligent individual who dedicated much of his life to a career as a chemist. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War, who served honorably in the US Army, achieving the rank of First Lieutenant. David was a member of the Vittori-Rocci Post 56.

He is survived by his son Bradford Withington of WI. He also leaves behind many friends, including Charles "Bud" Rehal of Beverly.

His funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, January 22nd at 10:00 A.M. David will be laid to rest on January 23rd at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts.
