FALL RIVER – Debra A. Mello, age 69, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Born and raised in the north end of Fall River to Albert C. Mello and the late Dorothea (Moniz) Mello.

Debra had worked as a waitress at Billy's Café for 15 years before becoming the owner & operator of the Dawg House coney island hot dog restaurant, which was owned by her family for 35 years on Brightman Street in Fall River.

Debra enjoyed crocheting, being by the ocean, laughing, joking, telling stories, and hanging out with her friends. She loved cooking for her family & friends, always making more than enough food that could feed an army, and hosting holiday parties for her family and friends.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Farrah Mello (husband Shane Brewer) of Fall River; her brother, Jay Mello of Assonet; and her beloved grandson, Shane Brewer Jr. of Fall River.

Debra's cremation services are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home.
