SOMERSET – Deolinda (Serra) Silvia, age 96 of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Luperce Silvia and the daughter of the late Adelino & Maria (Cabral) Serra.

Prior to retiring, Deolinda worked for Quaker Mfg. as a secretary, and she was a communicant of St. John of God Church. In her free time, Deolinda loved to knit, cross stitch, and solve crossword puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: John Silvia (Tiffany) of Captiva, FL, Alan Silvia (Learay) of Clifton Park, NY, Robert Silvia (Jana) of Amesbury, MA, and Linda Rapoza (Ronald) of Somerset, MA; grandchildren: Bradford Rapoza, Matthew Rapoza, Molly Silvia, Kate Silvia, Christian Silvia, Kayla Silvia, John Silvia Jr., Joseph Silvia, Andrew Silvia, & Katherine Lecrivain; great grandchildren: Mattison & Joy Rapoza, Jack & Ellory Silvia; nieces & nephews. Deolinda was sister of the late Marie Silvia.

Deolinda's visitation will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Wednesday, Dec. 28 ^th from 8-9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John of God Church, at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset.
