FALL RIVER – Dinis Da Costa, age 86 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023 in the comforts of his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Santo Antonio Alem Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores, Dinis was the beloved husband of Lidia (Oliveira) Costa for 55 yrs. and the son of the late Joao Da Costa and the late Maria (Melo) Da Costa.

Prior to retiring, Dinis had worked for many years at Rhode Island Nurseries. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church and loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Dinis enjoyed fishing, and loved tending to his grape vines and making his wine.

In addition to his Wife Lidia, Dinis was the Father of the late Dennis D. Costa; Father-in- Law of Sally Laramore; the Brother of Lorena Oliveira of Somerset, Maria Natalia Souza of Swansea, and the late Evelyn Botelho; the beloved Vavo of Tyler Costa, Isaiah, Messiah, Braden, and Skyler Laramore; and the uncle to many nieces & nephews.

A funeral for Dinis will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023 here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
