SOMERSET - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dolores M. Arruda, age 92, of Somerset. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Arruda. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late John and Emily (Furtado) Barboza.

Dolores will be fondly remembered for her spirited personality and impeccable sense of style. She dedicated over 15 years of her career as a baker at Dunkin' Donuts in Somerset, following more than two decades of service at Michael's Dry Cleaning. A woman of many passions, Dolores found great joy in tending to her gardens, where she delighted in watching dragonflies and hummingbirds. She was also an avid reader and a gifted knitter, whose creativity and warmth touched the lives of those around her. Her favorite holiday was Christmas.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her late daughter Tina Louise Arruda Camara, son-in-law Odilardo Carlos, sister Theresa Barboza, her late brothers John R. Barboza Jr. and Ronald M. Barboza, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral services will take place at a later date following cremation. Arrangements were under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
