It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy (Gamboa) Coelho, age 91, of Fall River, formerly of Slade Street, who passed away on July 9, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Beloved spouse of the late James R. Coelho, and born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph and Lidia (Bouchard) Gamboa. Dorothy worked as a lunch aide for many years for Laurel Lake School in Fall River. She spent most of her life caring for children as a foster mother.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her children Pamela Lee, Joseph Coelho (wife Tina), David Coelho (wife Michelle), Heather Greco (husband Paul), Kevin Coelho, Jennifer Coelho and the late Eugene Coelho; late brother Arthur Gamboa; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Dorothy's funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, July 12th at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours on Tuesday, July 11th from 4-7 PM.
