Dorothy G. Medeiros, age 54 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023 at Hope Health & Palliative Care Center, Providence after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fall River, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Agostinho F. and the late Maria G. (Pedro) Medeiros, and the fiancé of Michael Desmarais.

Dorothy previously worked for Telephone Answering Exchange in Somerset, Precise Packaging, Inc., and Kimwell Nursing Home. She loved to listen to music, read,  and watch her favorite True-Crime TV Shows. Most of all, Dorothy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially with her dog, Brody whom she referred to him as "Bubba-Doo".

In addition to her fiancé, survivors include her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Medeiros (her companion Thomas Langton), her brother Augustine M. Medeiros (his wife Lisa A.) all of Fall River, her niece Kristen Lynn, her nephew Austin M. Medeiros, great nephews, Aiden & Casen, and her brother-in-law Roger Lavoie. Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Sandra K. Lavoie.

Dorothy's calling hours will take place on Sunday, Oct. 22nd from 5-8 p.m. with a service to follow at 8:00 pm. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main Street, Fall River, MA.
