On Sunday, October 1 ^st , Jesus stepped down from heaven to bring Dorothy Medeiros to her eternal home. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Lucy (Furtado) Mello. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Medeiros.

Prior to her retirement, Dot worked as a sewing machine operator for many years. She enjoyed spending her time outside, going for walks and tending to the garden. Dot liked to sit and watch birds in the yard, and if the birds were elsewhere, she enjoyed watching old western movies. She was a clever witty woman with the most cheerful disposition, having a smile, even during hard times. She was a loving, wonderful daughter, wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be so missed.

Dot is survived by her loving, dedicated daughter, Patricia Pelletier and her husband David of Somerset; her siblings; Lawrence Mello and Lorraine Chace; her grandchildren; Jason Pelletier of West Virginia, Kevin Pelletier and his wife Erin of Rhode Island; great-grandchildren who affectionately knew Dot as GG; Luke Pelletier, Natalie Pelletier, Emerson Pelletier and one on the way; as well as many nieces and nephews.
