Edmund P. Sowa, age 93 of Somerset, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2023 He was the beloved husband of Helena L. (Boyko) Sowa for 66 years. and the son of the late Philip M. Sowa and Julia (Cmuda) Sowa.

Ed was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Coyle Cassidy H.S., attended Alliance College in PA, Wentworth Institute, & Industrial Tech both in Boston. Prior to retiring, Ed worked at Raytheon as a Production Tool Designer for 33 yrs. He was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a member of the Koscuisko Men's Club, Somerset Rod & Gun Club, DAV Chapter 9, Fall River, American Legion of Somerset, a past member of the Tiverton Knights of Columbus, and a past member of the Somerset Friends of Music.

In addition to his wife Helena, he is survived by his son: Steven E. Sowa of Fall River; a grandson: Austin T. Bateman of Homestead, FL; siblings: Anna Bronhard, Charlotte Alves, & Philip Sowa. Ed was the father of the late Donna J. Bateman and the late Gregory E. Sowa.

Ed's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA on Saturday, August 12th here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Gardners Neck Rd, Swansea at 10:00 A.M.
