FAIRHAVEN – Eduardo J. Almeida, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in Ginetes, São Miguel, Açores, Eduardo was the beloved husband of Maria (Mateus) Almeida and the son of the late Jose Carvalho Almeida of Ginetes, São Miguel, Açores and the late Maria Luisa (Vasconcellos) Almeida.

Prior to retiring, Eduardo was a hard-working laborer for DOW Construction Co. He served in the Portuguese Army,  and was an avid SPORTING CP Soccer fan. Most of all, Eduardo was a great husband, father, & grandfather and loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Maria, Eduardo is survived by his 2 sons, Edward Almeida (Tammy) and Jason Almeida (Melanie) all of Westport; 2 grandchildren, Courtney Almeida (husband Felipe Goncalves) and Blaine Almeida (fiancée Rachel Choubah). Eduardo was also the brother of the late Maria Oliveira.

Eduardo's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA on Monday, July 29th here at 8:45 A.M. followed by a funeral mass at St. George's Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
