FALL RIVER – Eduardo Sousa Botelho, age 72, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a short illness with his loving family by his side. Born on July 12, 1950 in Livramento, São Miguel, Azores to the late Jose Soares Botelho and the late Maria Isabel (Oliveira) Botelho. Eduardo was also the former husband of Ana Oliveira

Prior to retiring, Eduardo worked as a Machine Operator for Joann Fabrics. Eduardo was very proud to have served in the Army for Portugal during the Battle of Mozambique.

In his free time, Eduardo loved to go fishing, visiting many Portuguese Feasts of all churches, and tending to his precious grape vines for his wine making. He also loved to be outdoors working to keep his yard beautiful.

Eduardo was a very kind man who loved his children dearly. Loving vu to his only granddaughter, Alyssa, who would always make his day brighter.

Eduardo is survived by his 2 Sons: Philip Botelho (wife Lisa) and Peter Botelho all of Fall River; Siblings: the late Manuel Botelho, Laura Bulhoes of Somerset, Helen Lima of Fall River, and Ana Roias of Tiverton; 1 Granddaughter: Alyssa Botelho; nieces & nephews. Eduardo was predeceased by his infant daughter, Ana Botelho, who passed away on September 1980.

Eduardo's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Friday, March 17, 2023 here at 9:30 A.M. followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael's Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
