Eileen A. Garant, age 85, of Rehoboth, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Fall River, Eileen was the beloved wife of Raymond E. Garant and predeceased by her parents John & Lucie (Plourde) Conboy, and her brother Norman Conboy.

Prior to retiring, Eileen worked for the Diocese of Fall River as the secretary at St. Joseph's Church for 31 years. Eileen was a very active parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, where she ran their CCD program and organized many bus trips to help the church. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, hosting family & holiday get togethers, and trying her luck at the casino. Most of all, Eileen loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her beloved husband, Eileen is survived by her 3 sons Raymond James Garant of Alexandria, VA, Steven Allen Garant, his wife Ann Marie of Rehoboth, MA, and his twin brother Michael John Garant, his wife Charlene Marie Garant of Towson, MD; siblings Carolyn Conboy and John Conboy; 4 grandchildren Steven James Garant, Ryan Michael LaFond-Garant, Kristina Lynn Oliveira, and Cameron Michael Garant; 5 great-grandchildren Mason Alexander Garant, Jasmyne Leigh Oliveira, Summer Marie Rose, Jordan Boucher, and Cordelia Marie LaFond-Garant; numerous nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations in Eileen's memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Eileen's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Wednesday, Feb. 4th here at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
