Fall River – Elaine M. Medeiros, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 22 with her daughter by her side. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Pimental) Botelho.  She was the beloved wife of John Medeiros.

Elaine retired from the Central Special Education Department of the Fall River Public Schools after 25 years where she was known to all as the "Queen of Central Records". She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, and going out to dinner with her friends.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband John and close friends, making incredible memories. She looked forward to her annual trips to Daytona Beach, FL with her husband and family. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she adored.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, godmother and friend and will be deeply missed by all.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Medeiros; her children; John Medeiros Jr. and his companion Sandy Cabral, Marie Afonso and her fiancé Jim Fitzsimmons, Kevin Medeiros and his wife Michele; her brother, Anthony Botelho and his wife Rose Marie; her grandchildren, Francesca, Bethany, Joshua, Cody, Alexander and Alexis; her great grandchildren, Madison, Owen, Charlotte, Jasper, Braelyn and Aaliyah; many nieces and nephews as well as many close friends. Elaine is preceded in death by her siblings, George Botelho, Raymond Botelho and Larry Botelho.
