FALL RIVER – Eleanor L. Blais, age 77 of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with COVID-19. She was the daughter of the late Omer & Eleanor Petit and the longtime companion to the love of her life, Richard Costa, for 49 years.

Prior to retiring, Eleanor worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years at different healthcare facilities. She also loved spending time with her family and friends as well as playing BINGO, cards, dancing and singing karaoke anytime she could.

In addition to her companion Richard, Eleanor is survived by her three sons: Sheldon M. Blais of Fall River, Eric S. Blais of Plymouth, and Kenneth J. Blais Jr. (wife Dawn) of Tiverton as well as Richard's daughter Lisa Costa of Maryland; nine grandchildren: Brittany, Zachary, Katie, Shannon Blais, Eric Blais Jr., Emily Correia (Blais) Justin and Bianca Barnes and Keegan Costa; siblings: Barbara Pineault, Beverly Petit Costa, Steve, Roland, Tommy, & Joyce Petit; and many nieces & nephews as well as many longtime friends.
