Elizabeth "Betty" A. (Oliveira) Mello, age 84 of Somerset, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Born on March 27, 1941 in Fall River, MA, Betty was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Mello and the daughter of the late Arthur A. Oliveira and the late Hilda (Botelho) Oliveira.

Prior to retiring, Betty had worked for many years as a secretary for Dr. Rubenstein. She was also a dedicated parishioner of St. John of God Church. In her spare time, Betty loved to travel to places near and far. She also would like to try her luck at the casino. Most of all, Betty loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her son Raymond P. Mello and his wife Laurie of Somerset, and her daughter Sharon L. Mello of Presque Isle, ME; her beloved brother Rev. Robert Oliveira of Fall River; 6 grandchildren Alexander, Mary Jane, Kirsten, Ashley, Troy, and Grace; 10 great grandchildren Shane, Cameron, Ethan, James, Jane, Malachi, Damian, Reagan, Jesse, and Madeline.

Morning visitation for Betty, will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 8:15-9:15 A.M. at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
