SOMERSET - With full hearts and loving memories we mourn Esther Sallar, age 91, who passed away on May 12, 2025. Born in Bristol, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Emelia (Piloto) Pimental. She was the wife of 61 years to the late Raymond E. Sallar Sr.

Esther was a remarkable woman,  defined by her boundless strength, love, and generosity. She gave freely of whatever she had and always showed deep concern for those in need. Known for her warm heart and quick wit, she could strike up a kind conversation with anyone. Esther also had a flair for fashion and took great pride in showcasing her stylish daily outfits. Above all, she was an extraordinary grandmother, whose love for her grandchildren was truly unmatched. Her faith in God and Jesus Christ was unwavering. She was passionate about sharing the word, prayer, and being in fellowship with others. She embraced life with love, joy, wisdom, and gratitude.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her children Esther Charves, Raymond Sallar, Donna Botelho, Paul Sallar and Linda Lee Silvia, all of Fall River; siblings John Pimental, Mary Crawford and the late Frank, Joseph, Manuel, and Charles Pimental and Mary Amaral, Helen Reis, Marie Olstead, Agnes Pedro and Betty France; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
