FALL RIVER - We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2024, at the age of 101, Eulalia "Lolly" (Freitas) Soares passed away at Sarah Brayton Nursing home. Wife of the late Edward Soares, and born in Fall River, daughter of the late Albert and Elisa (Castro) Freitas. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Princess House, preceded by her role as a sales clerk at Plourdes Bakery. Additionally, she was an active member of the Classy Ladies Organization. Known for her nurturing nature, Eulalia dedicated herself to caring for others, notably serving as the primary caregiver to her mother for many years.

She is survived by her nieces Kathleen Gude of Fall River (husband Kervin) who cared for her and Delores Anderson (Husband Paul) of Lunenburg MA; as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late siblings Abel Freitas, Anthony Freitas, Louis C Freitas, Philomena Rezendes and Cecilia Souza.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Thursday, April 11th at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
