SOMERSET – Evelyn Desmarais, age 92 of Somerset, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2021 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Somerset, Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Armand Desmarais and the daughter of the late John & Francelina (Ventura) Machado.

Prior to retiring, Evelyn worked as an Assistant Floor Lady in the local mills, and was also a communicant of St. John of God Church. Most of all, Evelyn loved spending time with her family, especially with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Steven Desmarais (wife Donna) of Westport, Russell Desmarais (wife Gina) of Somerset, Michael Desmarais (wife Donna) of Somerset, Lori Ferreira (husband Michael) of Swansea, and the late Robert Desmarais (wife Kerry) of Swansea; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her 7 siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a mass of Christian burial at St. John of God Church in Somerset at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, Dec. 29 ^th . Private Interment.
