FALL RIVER – Evelyn Machado, age 96 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late David M. Machado and the daughter of the late Leo Proulx and the late Virginia (Bellavance) Proulx.

Prior to retiring, Evelyn worked at Globe Mfg. for 35 years. She enjoyed reading, shopping, trying her luck at scratch tickets and at the Casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Evelyn is survived by her two sons David J. Machado of E. Freetown, and Kevin Machado of E. Freetown, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Doris, Edmund, Leo, and Gerald.

Evelyn's wake will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6th from 4-7 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 7th at 8:40 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow in St. Bernard's Church, Assonet at 10:00 AM.
