Evelyn (Oliveira) Silva, age 88, of Fall River and recently Tiverton, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026 at Brookdale Sakonnet Bay. Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Ray Silva and the daughter of the late Manuel C. Oliveira and the late Mary (Lima) Oliveira. Evelyn was also the sister of the late Frank Oliveira.
In her earlier years, Evelyn worked in the needle trade, then changed careers and worked for Dr. John Costa and later Dr. Norman Rudolph as a medical billing specialist and medical assistant. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, her family, and friends, especially to locations that were warm and had a beach and palm trees.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter Lynn Rudolph and Lynn’s husband Eric of Portsmouth, RI; and her 3 cherished grandchildren; Max, Ava, & Wil Rudolph. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her lifetime best friend Helen De Coste and also by her loyal cat Molly. Evelyn loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was always up for a drive to the Cape with Ray, a shopping trip with Lynn or a stop for lunch and ice cream with Max, Ava and Wil and she cherished the time she spent helping care for them every week when they were growing up.
Evelyns family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Sakonnet Bay for the love and care that was given to Evelyn during her time there.
Visitation for Evelyn will take place on Thursday, Oct. 15th from 8:30-9:30AM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. Michaels Church at 10:00AM. Interment at St. Patricks Cemetery, Fall River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to The Potter League for Animals, 87 Oliphant Lane, Middletown, RI 02842; www.potterleague.org.
