Fernando M. Cabral Sr., age 79 of Westport, passed away on Jan. 18, 2025 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Feteiras do Sul, São Miguel, Açores, Fernando was the beloved husband of Maria D. (Cordeiro) Cabral and the son of the late Manuel and Georgiana (Sousa) Cabral.

While living in the Açores, Fernando served in the Portuguese Army. Prior to retiring, he was a lifelong baker & owner of Fernando's Bakery in Fall River for many years. Fernando was also an avid farmer and loved caring for animals. He was a lifelong fan of the Benfica Soccer Club. Most of all, Fernando loved spending time with his family & friends, especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Maria, Fernando is survived by his children Ana Medeiros (husband Alan) of Tiverton, RI, Fernando M. Cabral Jr. (wife Linda) of Fall River, MA, Helen Maxwell of Westport, MA, Dee Lyness (husband Patrick) of Beverly, MA, Nan Conway (wife Kerry) of Tiverton, RI, and Susan Viveiros (husband David) of E. Freetown, MA; his sister Ana Sebastiao (husband Gilbert) of Tiverton, RI; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; nieces & nephews.

Visitation for Fernando will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25th from 9:00-10:00 AM with a service to follow at 10:00 AM in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
